Question of the Week

Why do we as Americans spends so much on Christmas presents and decorations when a child dies of a preventable disease caused by unclean water every fifteen seconds? It is such a simple and easy problem to solve, and yet it seems that nobody cares. (sorry if someones already asked this) Our church has been talking about giving more and spending less. Why spend your money on that ugly sweater that uncle bob probably won't like? I'll try to attach the video from the Advent Conspiracy- it better grasps the theory I attempted to explain above.

My letter was about the 23rd Psalm (in the bible). The verse really spoke to me and brought me comfort, hope and joy. I love the way it refers the God as a shepherd, because the word that comes to mind when I hear the word shepherd is "protection", therefore, this verse reminds me that God will always protect me. There are so many other things that I love about this verse, it would take up way to much space. So I'll leave it at that.

Here's the verse in case it's unfamiliar to you:

The Lord is my shepherd, I
shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in
green pastures,
He leads me beside quiet
waters.
He restores my soul.
He leads me in pathes of
righteousness
for his names sake.
Even though I walk
through the valley of the
shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for You are with me;
Your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table for
me
in the presence of my
enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and love
will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.

Question of the Week

When you've eaten so much that your stomach hurts and can hardly walk, let alone see your toes, why is it so easy to make room for dessert?
